What is a booktalk?
A booktalk is NOT a review of a book or a book report. A booktalk is a performance that tries to convince someone to read a book. It is more of an advertisement or commercial. It ends with a ‘hook’ or a ‘cliffhanger’ that leaves the listener wanting more or wanting to know how the story ends. The best scenario when booktalking is that you succeed in making the person want to read the book for themselves to find out the conclusion.
