Like to learn to use a computer?

The Rampart Library District is now offering FREE COMPUTER CLASSES!

 

Rampart Library District is now offering free introductory  computer classes in Microsoft applications, Library databases, and the internet.  Some classes require computer experience while others require little or none.  Each class is a stand-alone and lasts from 1 - 2 hours.  Some classes have prerequisites which are noted in the Library Calendar.  Patrons must  register at the circulation desk for each class.   

Classes offered include:

      Beginning Mouse

            Learn how to hold, move, and click a computer mouse.

      Computer Basics

            Learn the basic parts of a computer, basic computer           

            terminology, and simple tasks such as how to delete,

            backspace, and maneuver arounda computer screen.

      Beginning Excel

            Learn how to set up, manipulate, and format a basic

            spreadsheet.

Classes to be offered later include:

      Introduction to Microsoft Word

            Learn how to write, edit, and save documents.

      Internet Basics

            Never explored the World Wide Web?  This course will give

            you a basic overview of how to use the internet and help

            you search effectively for information on virtually any topic.

      Beginning Yahoo! Email

            Learn how to set up a free email account and how to send

            and receive emails.

      Finding Information @ Your Library

            Need information and don't know where to look?  Learn

            how to access our catalog and online resources from home

            or at the Library.

Check the Library Calendar for class dates, times, sites, and prerequisites
